Parks and Rec Commission Meeting on Monday
According to their website (http://www.staffordparks.com/index.aspx?nid=140), The Stafford County Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission, has scheduled a “Special Meeting” for Monday, November 30, 2015, at 7:00 PM to discuss baseball and softball issues. The only items on this special meeting agenda (which can be downloaded by clicking here), are “Public Presentations (3 minutes each),” and discussion on baseball/softball.
Stafford Baseball League was neither invited to this meeting nor even informed that it was happening. We can only assume that since “public presentations,” are on the agenda, this is the rescheduled public hearing. It is clear that the Commission is not interested in hearing from SBL on any matters otherwise we would have been notified and asked to be prepared to respond to issues.
Even though SBL was not informed about this meeting, we believe our membership has a right to know that it is happening. It is open to the public and any citizen can sign up for their 3 minutes to speak on behalf of SBL if they are so inclined.
The meeting is Monday, November 30, 2015, at 7:00 P.M. at:
George L. Gordon, Jr., Government Center
1300 Courthouse Road
Stafford, VA 22554
The room is not listed on their website, but there is an information desk when you enter the building.
